What a wonderful insite into one of the worlds funniest and most creative talents, Spike Milligan. Box 18 contains some of Spike Milligan's unfinished works. Very interesting in seeing how his mind worked. From simple skit concepts to letters sent and received, plus some of his diary entries. Although he was a funny man he also suffered from depression. In some of his diary entries, his editor notes of when he was slipping into depression and often for how long.
Sections of the book, show his concepts for such shows as the Goon Show, he drew them as he would see them. Skits that were just ideas and transformed into what we see on TV or listen to on the radio.
A very enjoyable read, with will often leave you feeling happy, a giggle here and there and sometimes the totally confussed. What a great opportunity of us to have look into the world of Spike Milligan.
